A homage to my cultural upbringing as a first generation Filipino-American from West Los Angeles. Using an old house dress my mother wore around the house. Maroon velvet fabric that was commonly used in Filipino house slippers. Accents of of red & blue with 1 yellow shoe lace & 1 white lace to pay tribute to Philippine & U.S. flag.
